defining the vibe

"How do you describe the feeling of vibrance? What makes London vibrant?"

I was asked this, about halfway through the interview.

"Vibrance is, being able to see the bad side of life - the beggars, the drunkards, the people having arguments - as well as the good - the buskers, the people having fun in the parks, etc. It's being able to see people playing out their lives around you." was more or less what I said, my sluggish mind pedaling furiously to put together an answer.

On further thought, vibrance is more than that. It's the feeling that every other person on the street is an individual, unafraid to pursue his or her dreams, ready to make the best of their days on this earth. It's the feeling of not knowing what might happen today, or tomorrow, a delicious sense of uncertainty tinged with anticipation. It's the feeling of knowing every day is special, and knowing that everyone else feels this way.

Vibrance, is a sense of pulsating life, aware of its uniqueness, and utterly unafraid to proclaim it.
