lend me your ears (i'm missing mine)
it's another lazy weekend. Time is slowly ambling by. There's no work due this coming week, so I can afford to spend my time doing totally frivolous and unconstructive stuff. Like watching dvds and playing computer games. And possibly ironing.
going up to anfield on wednesday to watch liverpool play manchester city. It's about time I fulfilled my obligations as a lliverpool fan. I hope I get to witness a home victory though. The way the season's been, it's hard to say if they'll get a great victory, or lose by more goals than there are germs in a 'flu victim's phlegm sample. (author's note: blame blackadder for the overblown similies. Fortunately [for you] I'm finishing the collection of dvds soon.)
speaking of london showers, saw a friend of mine while walking home yesterday. She was on a bus that passed me by, so we saw each other for probably a couple of seconds. Strange how you can tell when someone else is looking at you, isn't it. Even when the other person's seated among thirty other passengers in a bus that's whizzing by in the rain.
on another note: I know it's probably not the best place to be talking about serious issues like Iraq, but there's a really good Op(inion)-Ed(itorial) column in the New York Times about the topic. Glad to know that there are some people who have got a grip on reality on the other side of the Atlantic.
and finally, just in case anyone was wondering: no, I was not on weed yesterday (note the absence of any talk of fluffy bunnies). Simply high spirits. Probably due to the endorphins coursing through the bloodstream after all that exercise. Why pay for something you can get for free?
