spent the early half of today trawling orchard for new clothes. Finally managed to find a decent shirt, and got something from adidas too. So that's two long-standing wants that've been satisfied. Woohoo.

field camp coming up from mon to fri. This time it's platoon field camp cum ex spade: five days of running up and down the slopes and digging till I drop. (At this point an image of the seven dwarfs with shovels and pickaxes marching to their mine sidles into my consciousness and refuses to be dislodged.)

just hope I'll make it to next sat in one piece.

the term is winding down. Just 2 more weeks of serious training to go and it's all over bar some admin work. Nevertheless there's going to be a lot to do in these 2 weeks, and very little time to rest, even during the weekends. Frankly I can't wait for this fortnight to pass. Starting to feel a bit of burn-out, just want to have a week or so to rest and recharge. And maybe revert to a rational civilized intelligent being.

going to miss the jc class gathering tmw, coz i'll be doing duty for the first commissioning parade of 2005. Haven't seen most of my jc classmates for a long time. Although I did bump into one in camp on mon (which was a pretty interesting episode in itself) and another just now whilst shopping in orchard. Sometimes, it feels kinda shitty to either not have the time or energy to meet up/catch up with ppl, but I guess that's life. Things should get better around CNY, when (theoretically) there's a 5 day break. Man am I going to need that.

but first, there's plenty of digging to be done.
