in transition

back in the 'real' army. Had a couple of slack days at first, but
things got hectic pretty fast. Many things to write about, but I
suspect I'll just bore everyone to death if i go into the details.

it's probably impossible to describe army life to someone who's
never experienced it before. Undoubtedly it's tough and uncomfortable.
But at the same time there's something fascinating about its intensity.
Sharing harsh and light moments with others. Watching their reactions -
and yours - in these situations. Learning to overcome
challenges, physical and mental. All these things make the army
experience something unique, and maybe precious.

it's still too early to say whether I'm going to adapt well to this
kind of life. So far it's been fine, even enjoyable. But then this is
just the
prep course; still have lots more stuff to come.

more running. Foot drills. Push-ups. Salutes. Blisters. Punishments.
Brain-numbing fatigue. Combat rations. Bruises. Camaraderie. Mud.

more dirty uniforms. Dirty faces. Dirty jokes.

33 more weeks to go...
