big bad eyebags

been trying out firefox
since yesterday. So far it hasn't given me any problems. Quite the
contrary: it's definitely no worse than IE, and with the extensions
that domee advised me to download, it's become much better. Tabbed
browsing, cookie culler, some interesting mouse controls that i haven't
managed to get the hang of just yet... don't think i will be switching
back to IE anytime soon. Unless I have problems loading pages i guess;
so far that hasn't happened. Open source rocks!

is it an indication of lack of sleep when I feel tired a couple of
hours after i wake up? Most mornings it feels like I'm interacting with
a world through a few metres of cellophane. Everything seems to be
coming from a long way away. And to make things more interesting, my
brain processes are as fast as a one-legged grandmother
hopping up the Eiffel tower.

I think i need a break.

back to OCS in, erm, 18 days. Wheee. And I'm probably about as fit
as I was a couple of months ago. Re-enlisting early was a bad move.
Sigh.

this reminds me of a point made by swiss playwright friedrich durenmatt in his play The Physicists,
which I watched a couple of weeks back: what's thought cannot be
unthought. The past cannot be erased, no matter how much we might want
to do so. Therefore it's useless to try to run away from the past, or
to waste time on regrets. The better option is to just move on.

so I should quit whiining about how much my current situation sucks and work on trying to improve it.

I should start by getting more sleep.
