isn't it wonderful?

had 2 hours off tdy, courtesy of having had guard duty on tues night. No, it's not a fair trade, but that's how life is in the army. At least my guard duty wasn't too busy, just did raised/lowered flags and checked some bags. Could've been worse.

spent my 2 hours swimming and roaming jurong point; I am THAT bored. Swimming was great though. SAFTI has a nice olympic-sized pool which is hardly ever crowded. Swum 20 laps yesterday, and 22 (I think) today. Was thinking of doing more but it looked like it was going to rain so I scrammed instead. Now it's 2 hours later, and it still looks like it's going to rain. Not one drop yet though. Sigh.

the game shop at JP is selling rome: total war at 60 bucks. Considering that the star wars dvd is selling for about 90 dollars, this means that I'll be burning a nice big hole in my pocket if I do go and buy both. Never has piracy seemed so tempting.

I hate being an underpaid grad. Oh wait, I'm not. I'm only a slave.

the new batch of slav- I mean, cadets arrived on monday. They're instantly recognizable by their jockey caps, white lanyards and the aura of blurness they generate. And of course, they're causing huge queues at the cookhouse. Poor unsuspecting cadets. Especially those in alpha wing. Soon you will be too busy to eat (much), and that's going to be the least of your problems. Just wait till the lanyards come off. Muahahahahaa.

now, if only I wasn't joining you guys. Then I could gloat properly.
