the end of the holidays

if I'd known monday was the last day of slacking, I would have cherished it more.

got moved to another place, and was assigned some work to do yesterday. First impression of my boss is not bad, doesn't look like the sadist type. Heh. And to be fair, I kinda like the work I'll be doing (well, compared to the other projs available, anyway). I get to spend my days in the library, which is nice and quiet and comfy. The only downside is that now I can't exercise during office hours, so now I have to work out in the evenings, which means extra long days. Sigh.

I suppose it's characteristic of the SAF that after intially gorging us on boredom, it now decides to bombard us with sizeable workloads, and deprive us of time to work on our physical fitness. Can't a balance ever be struck somewhere??!

okay, maybe I shouldn't gripe so much. Life isn't that bad, even though it could be better. In the army, after all, life can always be better. I'm reasonably happy. I think.
