goodbye and hellos
Perhaps I'm too prone to taking things - and people - for granted. Went
to see zueig off today, at the end of his two weeks back in s'pore. Was
hoping to meet up with him sometime this coming week (which is pretty
short), but that plan's obviously gone down the drain. Kinda sad that
the only time I see him back here is when I'm seeing him off at the
airport.
I guess people don't stay around forever.
On the brighter side, I suspect that the army feeds us drugs that
compel us to go down to the citylink/suntec/marina area on weekends.
How else do I explain spotting four of my ocs friends and one of my
ex-instructors in the area, within a time span of less than an hour?
The coincidence is kinda freaky. And that's not counting the non-army
ppl I saw there.
Is s'pore really that small? Does everyone have nowhere else to go
other than citylink/suntec/marina for dinner on saturdays? ( I went to
millenia walk; how's that for non-conformism?) Maybe we should just
hold one big reunion party in the area one saturday: everyone can just
spend half an hour walking from city hall mrt to suntec and back,
shaking hands with all the friends they bump into along the way. It
could make the weekend a whole lot more enjoyable for a lot of
s'poreans. We could call it the Singapore Hello Party. If it's
successful (and how can it fail?) we could even export it to the
heartlands, like NDP. The SAF can handle the organisation, and they can
have a mobile column too if they want.
Cool idea right? Now if only I can sell it to MCYS. Maybe they'll like it so much they'll give me a job...
