and in other news...

- 'Rent' was quite pedestrian. Was warned about it but still couldn't help but feel a bit disappointed. For a musical that celebrates the exuberance of life, there was - ironically - very little energy in the performance. The cavernous Kallang Theatre didn't help either; the audience was simply too far away to be infected by any enthusiasm from the cast.

And the sound man should be sacked for all the missed cues.

'La Vie Boheme' in particular was a letdown. For me, it's the centerpiece of the whole musical, and the detached, almost clinical way it was performed was a stark contrast from the message it was supposed to send. Pretty much summed up the entire performance.

- Sis has a new digicam: Canon IXUS 55. Have no idea how it works, but envious of the fact that its half the size and probably twice as advanced as my 5 year old digicam. Not that it's saying much; even camera phones are twice as advanced as my digicam now. Maybe I can use it for my holidays =P

- Time to clear SOC and IPPT. Need to start running. Argh.

'Christmas bells are ringing...'
