Happy Endings
I'd almost finished the last post when my browser shut down on me. It was meant to be a reflective piece, which I'd had a lot of trouble trying to put into words. I'm normally quite obtuse, but since my comp has given me such an obvious hint, I'll just write a quick update instead.
It's been a busy few weeks, which explains the dearth of recent blog posts. December has sprung itself on me, and suddenly time is shorter than ever. Work demands are heavy and mounting (so please don't be angry if I don't send Christmas cards), I'm hard-pressed to find time to shop for presents, and all I really want to do when I have free time is to get some sleep. Hectic barely begins to describe it.
Nevertheless, things have been pretty good recently. I was ecstatic when I passed my driving test at the end of November; it's the biggest sense of accomplishment I've felt in over a year. I've also met up with friends I haven't seen for a long while, and while there have been some down moments, these have been almost immediately followed by incidents that cheered me up considerably. So all in all, I don't have much to complain about. Browser crashes notwithstanding, this year is definitely drawing to a happy close. I can only hope this state of affairs carries over into the next.
