Bad Air Days

As the saying goes, you don't know what you have till it's gone. So it is with air quality. Haven't realised how good it is to be able to enjoy clear visibility on a sunny day, until this week. The absent smell of semi-charred smoke is a relief too.

The haze has pretty much overshadowed an otherwise uneventful week. After all, having to inhale choking grey smog does command attention. As it was, I spent Sat morning playing badminton, and the rest of the day at home with a bad case of sinus trouble. The way things are going, I imagine air purifiers are doing a roaring trade. Perhaps it'll offset the outdoor eateries' losses.

On a more positive note, Bryan introduced me to Jajah last night. Essentially, Jajah lets members make free calls to one another's mobiles or landlines, if they're in places like US, UK and Singapore (Australia too, but only on landlines). I did a test call to Bryan as he was on his way to campus in Washington, and the clarity was impressive. I'm still puzzling over their business model though.

Oh, and he observed that I complain about being single every couple of months. I wonder if he's right. Maybe singlehood is weighing more heavily on my mind than I realise. Now, that's a scary thought.
