New Phone!

My misadventures with electronic devices continues: wanted to upload a video from my new Nokia N73, but haven't managed to figure out a way to do this on blogger yet. Got an error message, and I'm too lazy to retry.

Picking up the new phone entailed making an unscheduled stop at Raffles Place en route to the airport. Not much of a choice, given that the alternative was to have my old SIM card de-activated. Unfortunately, this meant I missed Faith's Great Luggage Re-packing at the terminal.

Entertainment aside, I was really impressed by the crowd that turned out to say goodbye to her; at one point I counted more than 30 people gathered near the gate. Only celebrities and departing college freshmen get this kind of farewell. Should've at least taken a picture of it to show the size of the crowd, but it slipped my overawed mind. D'oh!

I'm honestly envious: there aren't many better moments in life than the cusp of college. Knowing her, I have no doubt it's going to be an eventful and entertaining few years. Looking forward to hearing about her adventures, and making pedantic 老-uncle comments. It'll be good entertainment, at least until I get used to my phone.

Update: The morning after.

Bad karma continues. Found out that I lost the numbers stored in my old phone. Only have those that were in my old SIM card. Bummer. If you're reading this, do drop me a message with your mobile number, and of course, your identity. Thanks!
