Making it work

I'm typing this on my laptop, while listening to NDP rally. I was trying not to bring it home, but my resolve lasted all of one week, before work overwhelmed principle. Ironically, I can't access my email from the laptop, something I only discovered when I tried it out. And that, after lugging it all the way back on the MRT.

Sigh.

Nevertheless, I'm still able to work on some stuff, like the book review presentation (stop that *&@*#^ sniggering) I may have to make tomorrow. Finding my way on Powerpoint has been painful, but I'm pretty satisfied with what I've come up with; it shouldn't send my career into a trash can just yet.

Speaking of pain, it's all I'm feeling after exercising for the first time since starting work. There isn't a muscle that's not complaining. At least I had an enjoyable badminton session out of it. No pain, no loss (of weight, that is).

(PM: "First we must tell the S'pore Story, and we must know the S'pore Story. Many people didn't know that Mr Rajaratnam wrote the Pledge or Mr Lim Kim San built the HDB flats...")

There's a lot to do nowadays. Life is a whirl of work, sleep and work again, until the weekend, when the activities are reversed. I shudder to think that this is what the rest of my life entails. Someone please pinch me.

Five weeks into work, things are getting busy. It's not tough yet. But the going's definitely not so simple anymore.
