an end to uni
[I write this with the recognition that not everyone has finished their exams. Too bad for you ppl. Hah.]
wonder what I was thinking about in the final minute of my final exam. Doubt it was 'this is the final minute of my final exam'. Probably cringing at the crap that I passed off as an educated answer to some question. But whatever it is, I can't really remember, so it's all pretty moot speculation.
the exams drew to a close without much ceremony. No jumping up and down, no cries of jubilation. There was, however, a quiet sense of relief that this whole ordeal is finally over. And just a little twinge of sadness at the closure of another chapter in the story of my life.
strange as it may seem, I don't feel any happier about the fact that exams are finally over. That doesn't mean that I'm not happy, mind you; it's hard to be depressed with such cheerful weather. So you can be reassured that this is not going to turn into another whiny post (although if you've made it this far, you're probably going to read the rest of it anyway, so I'm just wasting my energy typing these sentences. Damn).
further evidence that my brain works in weird ways: now that I'm exempt from mugging, I'm finding it hard to think of stuff I want to do. Usually it takes about 5 seconds for me to come up with some activity I'd prefer to wading through the mess that's my notes, but now I'm at a loss. Wonder if there's a name for this syndrome? Apart from 'being a bloody idiot', of course.
going to dublin tomorrow, although I really don't know what's there to see and do in the place. Bought a city guide from waterstones yesterday (there's a 3 for 2 offer on travel guides at waterstones; you have been informed), think I'll read it on the plane. If I manage to blog anytime between saturday and tuesday, then you'll know that dublin is a boring place.
alright, time to go. Itching to play civ3. Good luck to all muggers out there. Shall think of you guys when I'm sitting in the sun in dublin with my pint of guinness.
