diagnosis

yup it's bell's palsy
alright (well done zena. Hope this gives u more confidence for ur
papers heh). The MO proclaimed me 'an interesting case', and gave me an
mc to seek confirmation from the NUH A&E department. And the doc
there gave me a one-week mc, antiviral pills, teardrops and steroids.
Now I have to consume twelve (yes you read right: one dozen!) steroid pills during each of my next five breakfasts.

looks like it's time to start bodybuilding.

according to the doc, I can't train with my condition. It's mainly coz
of the risk of eye infection; I can't close my left eye properly, and
in the environments we train in, that's just trouble waiting to happen.

unfortunately, he also said that it might take up to six (yup, half a
dozen) weeks to recover. If that's the case, I'll end up missing brunei
and a whole load of other activities. I think it'll essentially mean
I'll go out of course.

I'm trying not to worry about that eventuality. Things will sort themselves out. In time for brunei, I hope.

and dan remarked that I look the same. Which made me -just for a
moment- want to add successful homicide to my long list of
accomplishments. No, I do NOT look the same. No one normal looks like Psychotic.. Arrgh....

never thought I'd say this, but I hope I can get back to training soon.
